Los bomberos y la gendarmería intervinieron, este lunes 22 de febrero, poco antes de las 20.30 horas, por un incendio en una vivienda unifamiliar en el número 1 de la Place du Bourg-de-Merlia en Orgelet.
La alerta la dio un joven bombero que pasaba cerca de la casa. Oyó sonar un detector de humo. Entró y descubrió el cuerpo sin vida del nonagenario que ocupaba la casa.
No sabíamos, el lunes por la noche, el origen del desastre. Parece que la víctima tenía rastros de quemaduras y que se encontró comida chamuscada en la estufa. El bombero que entró al interior fue envenenado por los humos.
Con el apoyo de sus colegas y del SMUR, fue trasladado al hospital de Lons.
